100 kW BYD Atto 3 vs 99 kW MG ZS EV
Nepal’s electric vehicle market is on the rise, and two new models are set to be launched soon in Nepal: the 100 kW BYD Atto 3 and the 99 kW MG ZS EV. While both of these electric SUVs have been available in Nepal before, the new offering will come with upgraded powertrains and will be offered at a lower price point than its outgoing models. Let us take a look at how these two electric SUVs will stand against each other.
Starting off with the price rates the new 100 kW BYD Atto 3 is priced at the rate of Rs 64.90 lakh whereas the 99 kW MG ZS EV have been offered in two trims: the Comfort and the Deluxe, at a base price of Rs 48.49 lakh and it goes up to Rs 52.49 lakh. So comparatively, the Atto 3 is around Rs 16.41 lakh more expensive than the MG ZS EV’s base variant.
In terms of delivering power, the BYD Atto 3 is powered by a bigger BYD’s 60.4 kWh Blade Battery–paired with a 100 kW PMS motor–that is capable of generating a peak torque of 310 Nm. Furthermore, the EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the MG ZS EV is powered by a 51 kWh battery pack–paired with a 99 kW PMS motor–that generates a peak torque of 280 Nm. Similarly, the EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds.
For charging, the BYD Atto 3 takes 9.5-10 hours to be charged fully via a 7 kW AC charger, and on a single charge, it provides a range of 420 km. Whereas the MG ZS EV gets fully charged in around 8 hours via a 6.6 kW charger, and it offers a range of 320 km on a single charge.

Comparatively, the BYD Atto 3 is longer, wider, and it gets a longer wheelbase, however the MG ZS EV is taller.
Both EVs comes equipped with almost similar features, such as ESP, EBA, ESS, hill descent control, auto hold, immobiliser, hill launch assistance, tyre pressure monitoring system, adaptive cruise control, speed assistance system, front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear parking sensor, and 360 camera, keyless entry, remote lock, one-button engine start, AC with PM2.5 pollen purification, speed limiter, air conditioning, 6 speakers, a steering wheel with mounted controls, ambient lighting, electrically adjusted ORVMs, wireless phone charging, rear vents, and Bluetooth connectivity, among others.

Here the BYD Atto 3 gets benefits from a larger touchscreen infotainment system and it also gets a more number of airbags, however the MG ZS EV comes with a bigger instrument console.
