2020 Toyota Fortuner revealed ahead of its global launch
Toyota is all set to launch a facelifted version of second gen Fortuner, it has been one of the extremely popular SUV. Recently Toyota has revealed a pictures of the upcoming Fortuner without any camouflage. The current version of Toyota Fortuner was firstly launched in 2016 and now it is back with a facelifted version, judging through the images we can see Fortuner has been offered with an aggressive looks than the current ones.

From the rear front it has been completely updated with a new bumper and new grille, the grille also has become more sleeker while bumper has been given a aggressive design language. Toyota may slightly redesign the headlamps to give a new look, fog lamp housings also looks extreme. The current version offer a sleek look, with the update, we may get to see sleeker headlamps with all-LED lamps inside. There won’t be any major changes with the other parts of the vehicle. However, we will get to see a new set of alloy wheels.
The new Fortuner will be identical to the current version in the interior but with a new infotainment system and a few additional features including a connected app can be expected apart from that the features list may remain similar.

Toyota offers a number of petrol and diesel engine options in the international markets. There is 2.7-litre petrol and 4.0-litre petrol while the diesel engine options include a 2.4, a 2.8 and a 3.0-litre. The BS6 compliant will be similar i.e 2.7-litre petrol and the 2.8-litre diesel engine options. This BS-6 engine offer 164 Bhp power and 250 NM of torque where as the BS-6 diesel engine delivers 174 Bhp power and 450 NM of torque. The petrol engine is available only in RWD format with either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. The diesel engine comes in both RWD and AWD format. In its 6-speed manual format, the diesel engine makes about 30Nm less.
It is expected to be revealed globally by the middle of this year. Besides that Toyota Motor had recently confirmed that a 2020 limited edition Fortuner variant is on work. Stay tuned to see what new additional features are added on to it.
