2022 Ford Raptor launched in Nepal

Ford has launched the 2022 Raptor in Nepal. The midsize pickup comes with a new 3.0-litre V6 Petrol engine that is capable of producing 391 hp of power and 583 Nm of torque. The next-generation Raptor is offered at a base price of Rs 2.15 crore.

Design

The 2022 Raptor gets an all-aluminium body in contrast with the first-generation Raptor, which gets a steel body structure–so it is lighter than its previous iteration. Though both the first-generation and second-generation Raptors share a similar design language, the second-generation Raptor gets a rugged and chiselled design. The 2022 Raptor comes with a new grille, automatic C-shaped headlamps, dual exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Furthermore, the pickup is offered in four colours: Absolute black, Arctic white, Code orange and Conquer grey.

Inside, the pickup gets a rugged theme interior, orange accents on seats, trims, and panels, and all-new jet-fighter-like sports seats. The dashboard features a three-spoke steering wheel, a 12.4-inch digital instrument console, and a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Powertrain

Powering the second-gen Raptor is a 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 petrol engine that produces a peak power of 391 hp and a peak torque of 583 Nm. The engine comes mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission. The pickup is offered in three on-road riding modes: Normal, Sport, and Slippery–and four off-road driving modes: Rock Crawl, Sand, Mud/ Ruts, and Baja. Furthermore, the Raptor gets a Four-Wheel drive system.
