2023 Bajaj NS200 and NS160 launched in Nepal
HH Bajaj, the sole distributor of Bajaj in Nepal, has launched the 2023 NS160 and NS200 models for the Nepalese market. The new iteration NS160 and NS200 models come with new USD forks and dual-channel ABS as standard, along with an upgraded semi-digital instrument console. Meanwhile, the other design elements and mechanical specifications remain unchanged. The introductory price for the new NS160 is set at Rs 3,84,900, while the new NS200 is available at an introductory price of Rs 4,24,900.
Design and features
The 2023 NS160’s and NS200’s designs remain the same as the outgoing models. Both bikes come with notable design elements such as an aggressive front fascia, a muscular tank, split-set-up seats, grab rails, and an underbelly exhaust, among others. Furthermore, these bikes have been offered in four different colours: Burnt red, Satin blue, Metallic Pearl white, and Pewter grey.
The new NS160 and NS200 models come equipped with an upgraded semi-digital instrument console, which now includes additional information such as a gear position indicator, DTE (Distance To Empty), and real-time fuel efficiency. The console also continues to display essential details like time, speedometer, tachometer, and odometer, among others. Other notable features of these motorcycles include dual-channel ABS as a standard feature, along with reliable disc brakes and LED units.
Powertrain
The 2023 NS160 comes with the same powertrain as the outgoing models. The bike is powered by the same 160.3 cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, twin-spark, four-valve, FI DTS-i engine. The engine generates a peak power of 17 hp at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.6 Nm at 7250 rpm. For transmission, the engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. Similarly, the new NS200 also features no new changes to its powertrain. The bike is still powered by the same 199.5 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, triple-spark, four-valve, FI DTS-i engine. The engine generates a peak power of 24 hp at 9750 rpm and a peak torque of 18.74 Nm at 8000 rpm. For transmission, the engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.

HH Bajaj, the sole distributor of Bajaj in Nepal, has launched the 2023 NS160 and NS200 for an introductory price of Rs 3,84,900 and Rs 4,24,900, respectively. The new NS160 serves as a rival to the Honda CB Hornet 160R, the Suzuki Gixxer, and the Yamaha FZ-FI, and the NS200 competes with the likes of the KTM Duke 200 and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
