2023 Hyundai Verna soon to be launched in India

Hyundai is readying to roll out the next-generation Verna in the Indian market. The all-new Verna will come in four variants: the EX, the S, the SX, and the SX(O), and it will be offered in two petrol engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine. The sedan will be released on March 25, according to the company, and reservations for the 2023 Verna are now open. 

Design and features

The all-new Verna hasn’t been unveiled yet, but according to the recently teased teaser, the new sedan takes its design inspiration from the brand’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ philosophy. The front fascia features a new large grille that is connected by a horizontal light bar, and on the rear, the sedan’s tail lights are connected by the horizontal light bar. The car will be offered in two dual-tone and seven single-tone colour options, which include three new colour schemes: Abyss Black, Atlas White and Tellurian Brown.

The sedan will come with notable features such as  Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), driver attention monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic assistance and forward collision mitigation, and lane keep assist, among others.

Powertrain

The 2023 Verna will be offered in two petrol engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine. 

The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine–mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic transmission–generates a peak power of 158 hp and a peak torque of 260 Nm. 

Similarly, the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 112 hp of power and 144 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with either a six-speed manual and an iVT transmission.

2023 Hyundai Verna price in India

The company has claimed to launch the 2023 Verna in March 2023. Although, there is no official news regarding its pricing yet, the fans can expect it to come around a base price of INR 12 lakh.
