2023 Kia Seltos launched in India; bookings to open on 14 July
Kia has launched the 2023 iteration of its flagship model–the facelifted Seltos–for the Indian market. The 2023 Seltos will be offered in three trims: the X-LINE, the GT-LINE, and the TECH-LINE. The new Seltos will feature an exclusive Pewter Olive colour, a revised design, upgraded features, and a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine option. The company has scheduled the commencement of bookings for the 2023 Seltos from 14th July.
Design
The 2023 Seltos models’ front fascia features revised headlights that extend to the grille, body-coloured inserts on the fog lamp, and a slightly bigger bumper. On the rear, the SUV gets new inverted L-shaped taillights, and the sequential turn indicators and the reverse light, which were previously positioned at the tail light setup, are moved to the revised bumper. The SUV is also offered in a new Pewter Olive colour, along with eight monotone colours and two dual-tone colours.
Inside, the new SUV offers two new interior options: sage green or black-and-white themes, depending on the variant. The dashboard features a steering wheel with mounted controls and a dual screen set-up comprising a 10.25-inch digital instrument console and a 10.25-inch infotainment system.
Powertrain
The facelifted Seltos offers three powertrains: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine, and a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine (new). The 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine–which is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT–generates 115 hp of power and a torque of 144 Nm. The 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine produces a power of 116 hp and a torque of 250 Nm, which comes mated to a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed automatic. Meanwhile, the new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine is capable of producing 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque. And for transmission, the engine is mated to a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Features
The new Seltos comes equipped with ADAS Level 2 with 17 autonomous features such as smart cruise control with stop and go, Front Collision Warning (FCW), lane keeping assist, and rear blind spot collision avoidance, among others. Other notable safety features are its six airbags, ESC, HAC, tire pressure monitoring system, and disc brakes. For convenience, the SUV comes equipped with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dual-zone fully automatic AC, dual sport exhaust, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a Bose-tuned 8-speaker system, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, and Type-C USB chargers, among others.
2023 Kia Seltos price in India
Kia India has announced that the booking process for the facelifted Seltos will commence on 14th July. Although the company has not disclosed the pricing details yet, it is anticipated that the prices will be revealed shortly. However, the fans can expect it to come at a base price of INR 12 lakh.
