2023 Yamaha R15 M launched at INR 1.93 lakh
Yamaha Motor has launched the 2023 R15 M in India. The new R15 M comes with minor design changes and new added features, whereas its engine specifications remain untouched. The bike now comes at an introductory price of INR 1.93 lakh.
Design and features
While the new R15 M continues to get the same R7-inspired design as its predecessors, the bike now comes with new sleek LED turn indicators. Apart from this change, all other design elements remain the same such as its bi-functional LED headlights with DRLs, windshield, split-set-up seats, a side-slung exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels, among others. Furthermore, the bike also has been offered in the same Metallic Grey colour scheme.
The bike comes with the new colour TFT instrument console that offers Bluetooth connectivity and via installing the Y-Connect mobile app, the users can receive call, message, and email notifications on the instrument cluster. Moreover, the app provides information related to fuel consumption, maintenance recommendations, last parking locations, malfunction notifications.
The other notable features are dual-channel ABS, riding modes (Track and Street), aluminium swingarm, dual-horn, VVA (Variable Valve Actuation), and side-stand engine cutt-off switch.
Engine
The new R15 M is powered by the same 155cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder, SOHC engine as its predecessor’s, which generates a peak power of 18 hp at 10000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed constant mesh gearbox and comes with a traction-control system, quickshifter (upshifts only), and assist and slipper clutch.
