Tata Motors has confirmed their electric SUV NEXON EV to be showcasted in 2020 Auto Expo in India and as per to it the launching will happen between JAN – MARCH 2020 for Indian Auto Market. Ahead of its unveiling, Tata Motors had released teaser video showing capabilities of this E-vehicle.
On that teaser video Nexon EV has gone through several tests which includes a torture track, gradeability test, water wading test, extreme climate, lane change test and many more.
The Tata Nexon EV electric will be equipped with the Ziptron technology, it is the brand’s first car to be featured with the Ziptron technology which is claimed for giving great performance. It also features with long electric range of around 300 km in just a single charge. The Ziptron electric engine comprises of an advanced lithium-ion battery pack that meets IP67 standard Along with that it will be available with fast charging capabilities and 8 years of warranty time.
The Ziptron electric engine includes a permanent magnet AC motor with regenerative braking system which automatically coverts kinetic energy which is reduces down while decelerating back to charging of battery. Even in hot weather conditions the powertrain will deliver smooth flow performance with the help of cooling circuit. The EV is also expected be available with a new set of alloy wheels and slightly revised rear.
The new Tata Nexon EV will include all packed 30 and more internet connected smart features divided into different categories such as security and safety alerts, vehicle health monitoring, alerts, location based services and more.
With the designs and styles it will be moreover similar to Nexon facelift whereas the topfront might equip Harrier inspired grille with new DRLs headlamps and log lamps. The prices of this EV is estimated to be priced from INRs 15 lakhs – INRs 17 lakhs. Further details are still to be unveiled and might be facing rivalry with Mahindra XUV 300 EV.
