According to the reports, it is suggested that Volkswagen will be introducing the new-gen Vento somewhere around next year. Established almost around a decade earlier, the Volkswagen Vento has not welcomed distinct changes. Nevertheless, the C-segment sedan from Volkswagen is finally getting replaced by a new-gen model next year.

Similar to its sibling, the Skoda Rapid, the new-gen Vento is built in the PQ25 platform. However, the company is also working on an all-new platform, the heavily localized MQB A0 IN architecture for compact cars in India.

The most interesting fact about the Vento remains to be its design aspect. Since the automakers didn’t experiment with any styling upgrades on the car from its first arrival; the all-new design upgrade of the next-gen Vento will prove to be a game-changer.

Features and safety

What we expect in the next-gen Vento is a fully digital ‘Virtual Cockpit’ instrument cluster, complete LED lighting, ambient lighting, a larger touchscreen infotainment system along with smartphone connectivity and connected-car tech.

Moving forward to the safety feature, the next-gen Vento will feature multiple airbags, a rear parking camera, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Control, and Electronic Stability Program, as well as some new additional safety features.

Under the hood of the next-gen Vento, we expect the same 1.0-liter, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol TSI engine that is currently on offer with the sedan. This engine generates 110 PS of maximum power and 175 Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties will be handled by 6-speed manual gearbox, as well as an optional automatic.
