All new Toyota Corolla Cross Spied For The First Time In Thailand

Toyota is readying an all-new global SUV, called the Corolla Cross. The SUV has already been spotted testing in Thailand couple of times. The spy shots image shows a heavily camouflaged prototype of an SUV spotted on public roads in Thailand. The news media has reported that the Toyota Corolla Cross will make its first debut in the Asian country by next two months.

According to Brazilian colleagues, the model will be positioned as a more practical and traditional alternative to the C-HR but at the same time simpler and more affordable than the RAV-4. It’ll be interesting to see how the automaker will differentiate the new crossover from the just released Yaris Cross.

The Corolla Cross is said to be designed and developed on a TNGA-C platform, further to that it is said to offer with 4 different versions including hybrid / electrified engines. The entry-level variant will get the 1.8L petrol engine producing 142 bhp power. The Thai-spec model will be powered by a 1.8 litre Hybrid powertrain which will be producing 122 bhp of power. Where as the top-spec model will be powered by a 2.0 litre turbo-petrol engine which produces 177 bhp power. It will be offered as standard CVT automatic gearbox

Dimensionally, the Toyota Corolla Cross will measure 4,460mm in length, 1,825mm in width, 1,615mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,700mm. For more information on the new Corolla Cross stay tuned.
