Aprilia SXR 160 Expected Soon to Arrive in Nepal

The much-awaited Aprilia SXR 160 has been launched in the Indian market with a whopping price of INR 1.26 Lakh. Now, that it has launched in India, Dugar Brothers and Sons, the sole authorized dealer for Vespa and Aprilia in Nepal might soon make this maxi scooter available for the Nepalese customers as well.

While the maxi scooter series is not quite fancied by the Nepalese audience, the impression of this premium scooter is yet to be seen. What we have here is the Aprilia’s most expensive and premium looking scooter to the date – if brought with a considerable price tag, might change the point of view among the customers in Nepal.

Diego Graffi, Chairman and Managing Director, Piaggio India, said, “We are delighted to launch the much-anticipated premium scooter, Aprilia SXR 160 for all our distinguished customers in India. Designed in Italy, for India, the Aprilia SXR 160 is an epitome of great style, high performance, and great comfort. Checking out the exterior, this premium looking baby flaunts a twin-crystal LED headlamp with LED DRLs that also double up as blinkers, a wide front apron, a tall flyscreen, raised handlebar, and a contoured seat rafted in leather suede with special grey and red stitching. The matte black theme lovers will be entertained with the design of the maxi scooter.

The company has made an array of features available in the SXR 160- a fully digital instrument cluster that offers readouts like speed, tachometer, odometer, average and top speed, fuel gauge, engine malfunction indicator, ABS indicator, and many more.

Suspension features include telescopic suspension with the adjustable rear shock. Meanwhile, braking duties are maintained by a 220mm disc up front and a 140mm drum at the rear. Available with single-channel ABS, the SXR gets 12-inch wheels at either end.

Finally, powering the SXR 160 is a 160 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that puts out 11 bhp at 7,100 rpm and 12 Nm of peak torque.
