Unveiled during the Auto Expo 2020, the Aprilia SXR160 maxi-scooter is expected to be soon available in showrooms of India. Ahead of its launch, expected sometime during this month, the maxi-scooter was spotted in the dealership yard in India.
A small video uploaded by VJNS vlogs showcases the details of the upcoming scooter. Fresh information about the white paint scheme has been gain as we only were familiar with the red and blue paint scheme of the Aprilia SXR160.
The Aprilia SXR 160 will be powered by a 160 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine shared from the Aprilia SR 160 scooter. The motor is set to deliver a maximum power of 11 bhp at 7,600 rpm along with a peak torque of 12 Nm at 6 000 rpm.
The maxi-scooter sports a fresh and modern outlook with the brand’s signature triple headlamp setup with integrated LED DRLs. Additionally, it gets a massive front apron, large tinted visor, LED taillights, alloy wheels, a muscular-looking exhaust. However, a single drawback, the fuel filler cap located under the seat, drags this scooter a step backward. In a generation where lesser-capacity scooters are also equipped with an external fuel filler cap, this particular feature in Aprilia SXR 160 is quite a bummer.
