Audi launches the Q5 Special Edition in India
Audi India has launched the Q5 Special Edition at INR 67.05 lakh. The Q5 Special Edition comes with minimal design changes, but gets the same mechanical specifications. The Q5 is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates a peak power of 245 bhp and a peak torque of 370 Nm.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India said, “The Audi Q5 is a volume seller and we are happy to introduce a special edition for our customers. The Audi Q5 special edition will be available in limited units and is being offered in two new shades in addition to a host of styling enhancements. With quattro all-wheel drive and a feature-rich package, the Audi Q5 will continue to stand-out in the segment.”
Design and features

While the original silhouette of the Q5 remains, the Q5 Special Edition comes with new exterior elements that accord a sporty look. The Special Edition has been offered in two exclusive colour options: District Green and Ibis White. Furthermore, the SUV gets a new black styling package, along with black exterior mirror housing. Other notable exterior elements are its five-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels, black Audi logo, black roof rails, Audi accessories, LED headlamps and taillamps.
The Special Edition Q5’s cabin is the same as the Q5 Technology models. The cabin features leather-upholstered seats, a 10-inch infotainment system, a 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit, and a B&O premium sound system, among others.
The Q5 Special Edition gets the same safety and convenience features as the Q5 Technology, such as eight airbags, automatic climate control, park assist, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS, EBD, Brake Assist (BA), AC, parking assist, parking sensor, cruise control, keyless entry, and steering adjustment, among others.
Powertrain
The Special Edition Q5 is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates a peak power of 243 bhp and a peak torque of 370 Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. The four-wheel drive accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 237 kmph. Furthermore, the car is offered in six riding modes: Comfort, Dynamic, Individual, Auto, Efficiency, and Off-road.

Audi Q5 Special Edition price in Nepal
Audi has launched the Q5 Special Edition at INR 67.05 lakh in India and the SUV competes with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, and Land Rover Discovery Sport. Although it is unlikely to be launched in Nepal, in case of its launch the fans can expect it to cost around 1.2 crore here.
