Bajaj launches the all-new Pulsar P150 in India
Bajaj Auto has launched the all-new Pulsar P150 in India. The new generation Pulsar P150 has been offered in two variants: Single-disc (with a single seat) and Twin-disc (with split seats). The new Pulsar P150 is based on the next-gen Pulsar platform that is also used on the Pulsar 250 series and the Pulsar N160. The Single-disc variant comes at INR 1.17 lakh and the Twin-disc model costs 3,000 more (INR 1.20 lakh).
Design and features
Single-disc Twin-disc
The new Pulsar P150 gets a sportier, sharper, and lighter design than its predecessors. The new-generation Pulsar P150 comes with a new front fascia with a bi-functional LED projector headlamp, a muscular tank, a new underbelly exhaust, and a small windshield. The single-disc variant gets an upright stance, whereas the twin-disc comes with a sportier stance. Furthermore, the bike has been offered in two single-tone colours: Racing red and Caribbean blue, and three dual-tone colours: Ebony black red, Ebony black blue, and Ebony black white.
The naked bike comes equipped with a new semi-digital instrument console that displays the bike’s gear indicator, fuel economy, and DTE. Other notable features are its LED units, single-channel ABS, and a USB charging port.
Engine
The Pulsar P150 is powered by a new 149.68 cc, four-stroke, two-valve, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine produces a peak power of 14 hp and a peak torque of 13.5 Nm. For transmission, the engine is mated to a five-speed constant mesh gearbox. Furthermore, the company claims that 90% of the torque is available across the RPM range, and the bike’s reduced weight of 10 kg results in an 11% increase in power-to-weight ratio.
