Bajaj launches two new Pulsar models: the N250 and the N160
Bajaj has launched the next-generation Pulsar N-series models–the N250 and the N160 in Nepal. The all-new N250 and the N160, based on the company’s new 250-platform, come with similar design and features but different mechanical specifications. The new N160 is priced at Rs 3.80 lakh and the N250 costs Rs 4.90 lakh.
Design and features
The Pulsar’s N-series models get a sharp and aggressive design. The front fascia features a bi-functional projector LED headlamp with eyebrow-shaped DRLs. And at the rear, the naked bike gets crystalline LED tail lamps and split grab rail. The new bikes’ other notable design elements are double-barrel exhaust muffler, split seats, and a contoured fuel tank (with the signature Pulsar logo on it).
The Pulsar N-series models come equipped with a semi-digital instrument console: the digital part gets speedometer, fuel gauge, time indicator, odometer, side stand indicator, and tripmeter; and the analog section gets a tachometer. Furthermore, the new bikes come with other notable features such as a USB charging port and dual channel ABS.
Engine
The N250 is powered by a 249.07 cc, single-cylinder, BS6, four-stroke, SOHC, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The engine produces a maximum power of 24.5 PS at 8750 rpm and a maximum torque of 21.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed transmission.
Powering the N160 is a 164.82 cc, twin-spark, oil-cooled DTS-i engine that generates a maximum power of 15.7 PS at 8750 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.65 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed constant-mesh gearbox.
