BMW launches the iX3 at Rs 2.29 crore in Nepal

Laxmi Premium Motors, the sole authorised importer and distributor of BMW cars in Nepal, has launched its first electric SUV–the iX3–for the Nepalese market. The all-new iX3 is powered by a 80 kWh battery pack and it provides an approximated range up to 460 km (WLTP). The company has offered the electric SUV at an introductory price of Rs 2.29 crore.

Design

The all-new iX3’s front fascia features a kidney-shaped grille, L-shaped air inlets, and flat adaptive LED headlights. On the rear, the electric SUV gets split LED tail lights with three-dimensional cover glass and blue-coloured diffuser. Furthermore, the car has been offered in six different colours: M Carbon black metallic, Cashmere Silver metallic, Sophisto Grey Brilliant effect metallic, Mineral White metallic, Phytonic Blue metallic, and Piemont Red metallic. Inside, the e-SUV comes with notable interior features such as sport seats, a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, and a cockpit that comprises a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument display and a 12.3-inch touch-capable control display.

Powertrain

The all-new iX3 is powered by the 80 kWh battery pack that is capable of generating a peak power of 286 hp and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The electric SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.8 seconds, and it can speed up to 180 kmph. For charging, the electric SUV takes around 7.5 hours to get fully charged via an 11 kW charger, and via a 150 kW DC charger, the EV gets charged from 0 to 80% in around 32 minutes. And on a single charge, the iX3 provides a maximum range of up to 460 km.

The premium electric SUV comes with a plethora of safety and convenience features. The EV comes with notable safety safety features such as parking function plus, tyre pressure monitoring system, driving assistant professional, adaptive headlights, warning triangle with first-aid kit, locking wheel bolts, autonomous emergency braking, evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane centring assist, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, emergency stop assist and adaptive high beam. For convenience, the EV gets automatic air conditioning with 3-zones, comfort access system, seat backrest adjustment, electric seat adjustment and seat heating, Vernasca leather-upholstered seats, panorama glass roof, Harman Kardon sound system, gesture control, and wireless charging, among others.
