BMW launching F 900 R naked sports & F 900 XR touring bike in India

BMW is launching the new F 900 R and F 900 XR in India, the F 900 R is a sports naked bike where as F 900 XR is a sport touring bike. Both these bikes will be offered with standard variant whereas F 900 XR will be offered with two : Standard and Pro variants. These bikes are priced at the rate of INRs 9.90 lakhs, INRs 10.50 and INRs 11.50 respectively.

Both BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR is powered by a 895cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine which delivers max power of 105 PS and max torque of 92 NM. It has been offered with two riding modes : Road and Rain. The F 900 XR SE variants is offered with one additional mode ie Dynamic mode. On the F 900 XR SE variant, it also has been provided with an electronically adjustable semi-active rear suspension. Both motorcycles get 17-inch alloy wheels while braking is via twin 320mm discs with radial Brembo calipers and a 265mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.  

Paired with six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch while a quickshifter comes standard in the F 900 XR SE variant. These motorcycles share features like LED headlamp and turn indicators, dynamic LED tail lamp adjustable brake and clutch levers, a 6.5-inch colour TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and a Datatool STEALTH S5, which basically is a geofencing based anti-theft device. The F 900 XR SE variant offers additional features such as adaptive cornering headlamps and LED DRL’s. The booking for both these books are opened in India from today.
