Booking opens for BS-6 Skoda Rapid in India
Skoda has opened an online bookings for the new upcoming BS-6 compliant Rapid TSI in India. As to the report it is said that the launch of this new updated sedan will be done as soon as the lockdown is lifted in India. So as for now the company has revealed the variant list and colour options provided in with the Rapid TSI.
The new updated Skoda Rapid TSI will be offered with five variants : Active, Ambition, Onyx, Style and Monte Carlo where as the previously run ‘Onyx’ limited edition is now offered as a standard variant in the Rapid BS-6. Skoda has revealed the detailed variant wise colour options.
The Skoda Active variant will be offered with Candy white, Carbon steel. Ambition variant will be offered with Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Toffee Brown, Onyx variant with Candy White, Lapiz Blue, Style variant with Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Toffee Brown and Monte Carlo variant with Candy White, Flash Red.
The BS6-compliant Rapid will be powered by a new 1.0-litre developing 110PS of power and 175Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre TDI and 1.6-litre MPI powertrain options have been discontinued by the company. The Rapid remains more or less similar to its BS4 predecessor.
The Rapid TSI will be competing with BS-6 Volkswagen Bento, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris and the upcoming 2020 Honda City. The prices of this new Rapid new still to be unveiled.
