BS-6 Compliant Royal Enfield Himalayan launched in India

Royal Enfield has launched BS-6 compliant Himalayan in India at the starting price of INRs 1.86 lakhs to INRs 1.91 lakhs the prices varies as per to the colour schemes.

The new updated 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by BS-6 compliant 411cc single cylinder engine , 4-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled, fuel injection , which can generate power of 24.3 Bhp and max torque of 32 NM. However the power figures has reduced marginally and the torque remains constant.

The launch of the new BS-VI Himalayan with its unique features and design functions gives us confidence that it will resonate with riders, setting new standards for adventure motorcycling in the country.”

Along with the new colour options the BS6 Himalyan has also received switchable ABS and Dual colour options. The new also include a new upgraded exhaust system compare to the previous model the new BS-6 compliant Himalayan is heavier by 5 kgs which makes it now weigh 199 kgs, besides that it now receives a hazard warning light placed on the right of switch cube.

The new BS-6 Himalayan get a switchable ABS which enables rider to slide the bike by turning off the rear ABS and it lockup the wheels. There’s a small button on the console which can be used to activate/deactivate the ABS. The Himalayan will go up against the new KTM 390 Adventure, Kawasaki Versys X300 and BMW G 310 GS.
