BYD Atto 3 Limited Edition launched at Rs 66.88 lakh in Nepal

Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd, the authorised distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, has launched the new Atto 3 Limited Edition. The Limited Edition Atto 3 gets an exclusive Forest Green colour scheme, whereas all the mechanical specifications remain the same as the outgoing models. The new EV will be offered at an introductory price of Rs 66.88 lakh, which is Rs 1 lakh more than the Atto 3’s standard Superior variant.

Design and features

The Atto 3’s Limited Edition features an exclusive Forest Green colour while the other design elements remain the same as its predecessors. The EV’s front fascia features a sleek bumper with a broad chrome bar at the centre–which is further extended to the slim LED headlamps with DRLs. And at the rear, the car comes with split LED tail lamps; the tail lights are connected by a horizontal light bar.

Inside, the EV gets leather-upholstered seats and the rear seat comes with a 60/40 split feature–which expands the boot space up to 1340-litre. The dashboard features a steering wheel with mounted controls, a 5-inch digital instrument console, and a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

The new Atto 3’s variant comes with notable features such as wireless phone charger, electrically-adjustable ORVMs, one-touch open/close tailgate, in-built USB charger, keyless entry and start, seven SRS airbags and ISOFIX child restraint anchorage points, automatic emergency braking system with front and rear warning, Bluetooth connectivity, ABS, TCS, ESP, HDC, and TPMS, among others.

Powertrain

The Atto 3’s Limited Edition variant is powered by the BYD’s 60.4 kWh Blade Battery–paired with a 100 kW PMSM–that is capable of generating a peak torque of 310 Nm. The company claims that the EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.7 seconds. For charging, the electric crossover takes 9.5-10 hours to charge fully via a 7 kW AC charger, and via a 80 kW DC charger, it can be charged from 0-80% in approximately 50 minutes. And on a single charge, the EV provides a range of 420 km. Furthermore, the company also offers the battery with 8-years of warranty.
