BYD offers the Atto 3’s new Advanced variant at Rs 55.99 lakh in Nepal
Cimex, the authorised distributor of BYD automobiles in Nepal, has offered the ATTO 3’s new variant—the Advanced—in the Nepalese market. The new Advanced variant comes with the same design as the outgoing models, but it features a new powertrain: a 49.92 kWh battery pack. The company has offered the new Atto 3 at an introductory price of Rs 55.99 lakh, which is Rs 10 lakh less than the standard Atto 3 models.
Design
The new Advanced variants continue to share the same design as the outgoing models. The EV comes with notable exterior features such as LED headlights and taillights, a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, electrically heated and adjustable side mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels, among others. Furthermore, the car will be offered in four different colours: Surf blue, Parkour red, Boulder grey, and Ski white. Inside, the EV comes with leather-upholstered seats, and among the seats, the driver’s seat gets a 6-way power adjustment and the rear seat gets a 60:40 split. The dashboard features electric power-assisted steering, a five-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Powertrain
The Atto 3’s Advanced model is powered by a smaller 49.92 kWh battery pack–paired with a 100 kW PMSM–that is capable of generating a peak torque of 310 Nm. The company claims that the EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.7 seconds. For charging, the EV is compatible with a 70 kW fast charger that charges the EV fully in around 45 minutes, and on a single charge, the EV provides a WLTP range of 345 km, which is around 75 km less than the standard Atto 3 models.
