BYD launches the much awaited electric SUV the ATTO 3 in Nepal
BYD has launched the much awaited electric SUV–the ATTO 3–in Nepal at a price of Rs 89.90 lakh. The ATTO 3 is based on BYD’s all-new e-platform 3.0. The new electric SUV is offered in a single variant which is powered by a 60.48 kWh battery pack and it provides a range of 420 km. The all-new electric car will be BYD’s latest addition to the lineup of the E6, the M3, and the T3.
Design
The new ATTO 3’s design is based on the company’s own Dragon Face 3.0 design language. The EV is aerodynamically designed and its front fascia features a sleek bumper with a broad chrome bar at the centre–which is further extended to the slim LED headlamps with DRLs. On the rear, the car comes with split LED tail lamps; the tail lights are connected by a horizontal light bar. And just below the rear windshield, the EV gets a ‘Build Your Dreams’ inscription. Furthermore, the car comes in five colour options: Climbing grey, Hiking green, Parkour red, Skiing white, and Surfing blue.
The EV’s interior is offered in two colour options: Eclipse blue and Hazy grey. The seats are leather-upholstered and the rear seat comes with a 60/40 split feature–which expands the boot space up to 1340-litre. On the dashboard is a steering wheel with mounted control buttons (for audio, phone and AC) and behind it is a 5-inch digital instrument console that displays a speedometer and tachometer dial. At the centre is a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Powertrain
The Atto 3 is powered by a 60.48 kWh BYD’s Blade Battery. The battery is paired with a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) that generates max. power of 150 kW and max. torque of 310 Nm. The EV gets charged from 0-80% in 50 minutes via a 80 kW DC fast charger and using a 7 kW AC charger, the SUV gets full-charged in around 9.5-10 hours. On a full charge, the ATTO 3 provides a range of 420 km.

Additional features:
The EV comes with a plethora of convenient features such as wireless phone charger, electrically-adjustable ORVMs, one-touch open/close tailgate, in-built USB charger, keyless entry and start, and portable card key, among others.
As for safety, the car comes with seven SRS airbags and ISOFIX child restraint anchorage points. The car also gets an automatic emergency braking system with front and rear warning.
BYD ATTO 3 price in Nepal
Cimex, the authorised distributor of BYD automobiles in Nepal, has launched the ATTO 3 at a price of Rs 89.90 lakh. The electric SUV serves as a rival to the likes of other electric SUVs such as the MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona EV.
