BYD opens booking for the new Atto 3 variant with 100 kW motor

Four months after the launch of the Atto 3 in Nepal, BYD has offered its new variant. The new Atto 3 model will come with a new 100 kW PMSM motor (50 kW less), whereas its other specifications and features remain the same as those of the outgoing models. The company has opened the EV’s booking and revealed its price to be Rs 64.90 lakh, which is Rs 25 lakh less than the outgoing models.

Design

The new Atto 3 will continue to share the same design as its outgoing models. The EV comes with notable exterior features such as LED headlights and taillights, a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, electrically heated and adjustable side mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels, among others. Furthermore, the car will be offered in four different colours: Surf blue, Parkour red, Boulder grey, and Ski white.

The EV’s cabin also features the same 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, leather-upholstered seats, an electric power-assisted steering wheel, and a five-inch digital instrument cluster.

Powertrain

The Atto 3’s new variant gets BYD’s 60.4 kWh Blade Battery–paired with a 100 kW PMSM–that is capable of generating a peak torque of 310 Nm. The company claims that the EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 9.7 seconds.

For charging, the electric crossover takes 9.5-10 hours to charge fully via a 7 kW AC charger, and via a 80 kW DC charger, it can be charged from 0-80% in approximately 50 minutes. And on a single charge, the EV provides a range of 420 km.
