Citroen C3 launched at Rs 34.49 lakh in Nepal
Citroen Nepal has launched its much-awaited hatchback–the C3. The C3, which is the brand’s second offering to the Nepalese market, comes in two variants: the Live and the Feel–with petrol engine option only. The new hatchback comes at a starting price of Rs 34.49 lakh.
Design and features
The C3 is based on the company’s C-cubed platform. The hatchback’s dimensions are similar to the SUVs, as it measures 3981 mm in overall length, 1733 mm in overall width, and 1586 mm in overall height, and it comes with a 2540 mm wheelbase.
In terms of its design, the C3’s front fascia features a matte black grille, round headlamps, and the company’s trademark Chevron logo, which is extended by a chrome bar to the DRL. The hatchback also comes with body coloured bumpers on the both ends and multi-spoke alloy wheels. Furthermore, the car is offered in four mono-tone colour options: Polar White, Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey, Steel Grey.

Inside, the C3 will get a single-tone black colour cabin with leather-upholstered seats, and among seats, the driver’s seat gets a height-adjustable feature. The dashboard will feature a flat-bottom steering wheel with audio and phone controls, a digital instrument console, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The C3 comes equipped with notable safety features such as 2 airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, engine immobiliser, seat belt reminder, speed sensitive auto door lock, and high speed alert system. As for convenience, the hatchback comes with power windows, tilt steering, manual AC with heater, 4 speakers, USB connectivity, keyless entry, manually adjusted ORVMs, foldable rear seats, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Powertrain
The C3, in India, is offered in two petrol options: a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated and a 1.2-liter turbocharged. However, in Nepal, the company has only offered the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. Hence, the C3 is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates a peak power of 81 hp at 5750 rpm and a peak torque of 115 Nm at 3750 rpm. For transmission, the engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The hatchback has a 30-liter fuel tank, and it provides a mileage of 19.8 kmpl.
