Peugeot 2008 from the French automakers is rolling down the country next week as per the announcement made by the official distributor of the brand in Nepal – Shangrila Motors.

The new model in the company’s product line-up 2008 has an amazing design language that will amaze the fanatic out there. With no official statement yet been made, the price of 2008 is expected to be more than 1 crore when it arrives in the country.

What does 2008 carry in the overall?

With a look at upfront, there is a distinctive, expressive front fascia, with a large grille and big headlights along with a front bumper covered in the crease and slashes, and the surfacing of the sides is made up of really interesting angular lines on the flanks. 2008 sits on 17-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, it gets a sophisticated rear with high-up taillights that appear merged with the rear glass.

The dimension of 2008 measures 4300, 1770, and 1550 mm in length, width, and height respectively. While 2008 is claimed to have a top speed of 198 kilometers per hour, it can reach speeds of zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.1 seconds.

Then there is the cabin flaunting a dapper look – an incredible variety of materials, with faux carbon fiber, gloss-black plastic, soft-touch accents, microsuede, and more covering different parts of the dashboard, door panels, and center console. The futuristic look is further enhanced by the holographic head-up display, a two-spoke steering wheel, a wide range of passive- and active-safety features, and programmable ambient mood lighting, among many other tech features.

Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and BS, traction control, hill assist function, and cruise control, and speed limiter.

Mechanically, 2008 is powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 131 hp of power at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
