Deal Alert: Xiaomi Mi 6 gets a price drop
Vatsal Impex Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of Xiaomi smartphones in Nepal, has slashed the price of their 2017 flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 6. The phone which was previously available for Rs 54,999 is now available for just Rs 46,000. That is almost a 16% discount on the original price. Buyers can get an additional Rs 2000 discount on the phone by using the coupon code VOUMI6 while buying the phone from Daraz. So what does the phone offer at this price point? Should you get this phone now that the price of the phone has been slashed? Before we answer these questions, let us take a deeper look at the phone.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 packs a 5.15 inch Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 428 PPI. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. The phone combines both glass and metal to provide a premium looking and feeling device. Under the hood, the Mi 6 packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with the Adreno 540 GPU. The processor is backed by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Sadly, the phone doesn’t support micro-sd card expansion but is dual-sim enabled.
In the camera department, the Mi 6 packs a dual-camera set up with a combination of two 12MP sensors with f/1.8 and f/2.6 aperture. The secondary camera, just like the one on the iPhone 7 Plus is used for a 2X optical zoom. There is also an 8MP front camera for all your high-res selfies. The Mi 6 also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded into its home button. Other sensors include an accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and a gyroscope. Software-wise, the phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Xiaomi’s own custom skin, MIUI 8 overlaid on top of it. And finally powering this device all up is a 3350mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users a full day worth of battery life without any issues. And if the battery does run out there is the inclusion of Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Type C port for faster charging time.
The Xiaomi Mi6 is a flagship smartphone from Xiaomi. It packs all the hardware and software offerings that make up for a good flagship smartphone. Now that the price has been severely cut, the phone is even more worth it. For under Rs 45,000 you are getting a killer smartphone with flagship grade quality.
