Energica introduces three electric motorcycles in Nepal; the price starts at Rs 42 lakh

Energica Motors, an Italian electric motorcycle manufacturer, has introduced its three premium electric motorcycles—the Ego, the Eva Ribelle, and the EsseEsse9—for the Nepalese market. All these electric bikes are based on a steel tubular trellis frame, and they provide a range of around 420 km. The company has offered the Ego at Rs 42 lakh, the Eva Ribelle at Rs 50 lakh, and the EsseEsse9 at Rs 46 lakh.

Energica Ego

The Energica Ego is the flagship model of the company, and it comes at an introductory price of Rs 42 lakh. The electric bike measures 2140 mm in length, 870 mm in width, and 1166 mm in height; it comes with a wheelbase of 1465 mm and a seat height of 810 mm. Moreover, the Ego has been offered in three different colours: Tricolore, Metal Black, and Sport Black.

The Ego offers a peak power of 169 hp and a peak torque of 215 Nm, and it offers a city range of 420 km. The bike can speed up to 240 kmph, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.8 seconds. Furthermore, the electric bike is offered in four riding models: Urban, Eco, Wet, and Sport. For charging, the battery is compatible with both slow and fast charges. During the slow charging mode, the bike gets charged at 63.5 km per hour, and the fast charge DCFC mode charges the electric motorcycle at 6.7 km per minute.

The Ego comes equipped with a Long Period Rest (LPR) function that is responsible for maintenance and automatic balancing of the batteries during extended periods of idleness. Other notable features are its cruise control, traction control, park assistant system, TFT colour display, and switchable ABS.

Energica Eva Ribelle 

The Energica Eva Ribelle is the naked version of the Ego models and comes with the same mechanical specifications as the Ego models. The company has offered the Eva Ribelle at an introductory price of Rs 50 lakh, which is the most premium offering in the lineup. The electric bike measures 2140 mm in length, 870 mm in width, and 1152 mm in height; it comes with a wheelbase of 1465 mm and a seat height of 790 mm. Moreover, the Ego has been offered in three different colours: Tricolore, Rosso Corsa, and Stealth Grey.

The Eva Ribelle has a peak power of 169 hp and a peak torque of 215 Nm, and it offers a city range of 420 km. However, the bike gets a top speed of only 200 kmph, which is 40 kmph less than the Ego models. For charging, the Eva Ribelle is also offered with two standard charging modes: Slow and Fast. In Slow mode, the bike gets charged at a rate of 63.5 km every hour, and the Fast charge DCFC mode charges the electric motorcycle at a rate of 6.7 km every minute. Furthermore, the electric bike is offered with four riding models: Urban, Eco, Wet, and Sport.

Energica EsseEsse9 

The Energica EsseEsse9 is a retro-styled electric motorcycle that shares the same mechanical specifications and dimensions as the Eva Ribelle models. The Essesse 9 has been offered in three different colours: Riviera Green, Bormio Ice, and Sunrise Red, at an introductory price of Rs 46 lakh.

The EsseEsse9 offers a maximum power of 107 hp, a maximum torque of 200 Nm, and a city range of 420 km. The company claims the bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3 seconds and can speed up to 200 kmph. For charging, the EsseEsse9 is also offered with two standard charging modes: Slow and Fast. In Slow mode, the bike gets charged at a rate of 63.5 km every hour, and in Fast charge DCFC mode, the electric motorcycle gets charged at a rate of 6.7 km every minute.

The electric bike also comes with the same notable features such as the Eva Ribelle models such as cruise control, traction control, park assistant system, TFT colour display, and switchable ABS, and Long Period Rest (LPR) function.
