Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat emphasizes clean energy transport at Kantipur EV Dialogue 2023

During the Kantipur EV DIALOGUE 2023 event, powered by Hamrobazar, Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat expressed the government’s commitment to developing a clean energy-based transportation system. The Minister emphasised not only the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) but also the integration of electric-based technologies, such as household induction systems. While he did not disclose any specific information about EV tax policies, he highlighted the government’s focus on expanding EV infrastructure. Furthermore, Minister Mahat emphasised the crucial need for the country’s imports to be lower than its exports, highlighting the government’s strategic plan to harness the potential of water resources for achieving this goal. This emphasis on utilising water resources not only supports the development of sustainable industries but also aligns with the government’s broader vision of promoting a greener and more self-reliant economy.
