Ford Ecosports BS-6 EMISSION NORMS
This January Ford is set to introduce the BS-6 compliant Ecosports to the Indian Market, Ford Ecosports has been one of the most preferred subcompact SUV. The international news media has reported that the BS-6 models will be arriving to the dealerships by the late Jan in India which we believe that this BS-6 complaint Ecosport will introduce in Nepal as well.

The former BS4 compliant Ecosports has 1.5L diesel and petrol motors make a top power of 100bhp with 205Nm and 123bhp with 150Nm respectively beside that the auto makers has already planned in for the 1.0L EcoBoost petrol engine. Now the 2020 Ford Ecosport BS6 will have 2 powertrain options:
i) 1.5L TDCi diesel
ii) 1.5 L Ti-VCT petrol
The 2020 Ford EcoSport BS6 will continue to come with the same 5-speed manual and the 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission options. The carmaker might offer the petrol automatic combination at a later stage.
Ford will be discontinuing the former SUV’s after BS-6 complaint Ecosports hits the auto-market. It was also informed that the EcoSport’s EcoBoost petrol engine will be replaced with the Mahindra’s 1.2L turbocharged petrol motor that powers the XUV300. Besides the BS6-compliant engines, no other changes will be made to the 2020 Ford EcoSport. The SUV will now face strong rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra’s XUV300, Tata Nexonand Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
