GENIUS & TAILG a new EV brand, starts its sales in Nepal
Yesterday on 8th August 2020, Sales of a new Electric motorcycle/scooter brands – Genius brand motorcycles & Tailg brand scooters started in Nepal. The inauguration was done by Mahabir Pun and Kulman Ghising jointly. These electric motorcycles/scooter has been brought in Nepal by YOMA MA E. Motors pvt. ltd. situated in Narayanchour Naxal.
The company has unveiled two scooter of Tailg brand named Lion & Tiger. The Tailg Lion has a 2.5 kW motor and a 1.9 kWh battery pack. The company claims that this scooters can travel 85 km on a single full charge. Similarly, Tiger has a 2.5 kW motor and a 2.3 kW hour battery pack. Claimed to travel 95 km on a single full charge. The company has informed that the price of both these scooters is Rs. 183,000. These scooters includes features like keyless start, disc brake system, TFT display, LED light, tubeless tires, comfortable seats, sensor technology and more. Along with that this scooter has a theft alarm activation system.
Where as two motorcycles of Genius Brand were also unveiled: Genius X46 Naked & Genius XY46 sports, both these bikes are said to shares similar features. These motorcycles have a 72 volt 60 amp battery and a 4,000 watt motor which can travel 100 km on a single full charge. It takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes to charge fully. It features LED headlights, chain drive, hill assist sensor, TFT display, mobile holder on the front. The prices for these bikes are tagged at Rs 4,26,000 for Genius X46 and Rs 4,16,000 for Genius XY46.
The Company is also offering a monthly installment facility on purchase of these EV. For those customers willing to purchase it on cash also get a special discount.
Sanjiv Shilpakar, Director, E-Motors, YOMA MA E. Motors pvt. ltd says its service center will expand in Naxal at present and has planned to move ahead in the coming days by cooperating with service centers in different places.
