Gionee Global launches the Gionee M7 in China
Gionee Global recently launched their latest mid-tier smartphone the Gionee M7 in China. The phone is the newest addition to their M series of smartphones. The M series has always been about battery life and power with huge battery sizes and long battery life. The M7, however, strays a bit away from this philosophy to offer something that is more industrial and trending. Here is all that the brand new Gionee M7 has to offer.
The Gionee M7 packs a 6.01 inch Full HD (2160*1080) AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401 PPI. With an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a 2.5D glass, the phone offers an almost bezel-less design. Encased in a metal coated glass back with a brushed finish, the phone looks and feels very premium. Under the hood, the M7 packs an octa-core MediaTek Helio P30 processor along with the Mali-G71MP2 GPU. The processor is backed by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The M7 also supports dual sim cards but only at the expense of the memory card slot.
In the camera department, the Gionee M7 packs a dual-camera set up with a combination of a f/1.8 16MP and 8MP sensors. The secondary camera, just like the one on the iPhone 7 Plus is used for a 2X optical zoom. There is also an 8MP front camera for all your high-res selfies. The M7 also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded into its back panel. Other sensors include an accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and a gyroscope. Software-wise, the phone runs Amigo 5.0 UI based on Android 7.1 Nougat. And finally powering this device all up is a 4000mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users a full day worth of battery life without any issues. And if the battery does run out there is the inclusion of Fast Charge for faster charging time.
The Gionee M7 is one heck of a phone which makes some great hardware as well as software offerings. The almost bezel-less glass design, the AMOLED display, dual camera set-up and the decent sized 4000mAh battery are all its strong points. The phone definitely will soon make its way to Nepal with an estimated price of around Rs 38,000. The Gionee M7, without a doubt, is an exciting device which I would keep an eye out for.
