Gionee S11 launched in the international market

Gionee, a Chinese OEM, has launched yet another mid-tier smartphone the Gionee S11 in their home country of China. Here is a quick look at what the device has to offer for a price of $300 (CNY-1,932).

The Gionee S11 packs a 5.99-inch Full HD (2160*1080) IPS display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 403PPI. This helps Gionee pack a phablet-sized display in a relatively small body. The Gionee S11 comes encased in a glass and metal shell which not only looks good but also feels premium to the touch. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T Helio P23 processor along with the Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. Besides that, the phone also supports dual-sim cards and is 4G capable.

In the camera side of things, the Gionee S11 packs a dual-camera set up made by a 16MP and a 5MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash. At the front too, there is a dual-camera setup made by a 16MP and an 8MP sensor. Software-wise, the phone runs Android 7.1 Nougat with Gionee’s own custom skin, Amigo UI 5.0 layered on top of it. Just sitting below the rear cameras is a fingerprint scanner embedded into the phone’s back panel. Other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, compass, and a gyroscope. And finally, powering the device all up is a 3410mAh non-user removable battery. This will be more than enough to get users a day worth of battery life on a single charge without any issues.

According to Phones In Nepal, the Gionee S11 is rumored to launch very soon in Nepal for an expected price of around Rs 30,000. For further news and developments, keep reading Hamrobazaar Blog.
