Gionee X1S launched in Nepal

Tele Talk Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of Gionee smartphones in Nepal has recently launched the Gionee X1S here. Priced at Rs 19,999, it packs some interesting hardware and software choices in an affordable package. The phone offers a lot for that price including a zippy fingerprint scanner and a selfie centered camera. That being said, let us take a closer look at what the phone really has to offer.

The Gionee X1S packs a 5.2 inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 283PPI. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. Under the hood, the X1S packs a 1.5Ghz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor along with the Mali T720MP2 GPU. The processor is backed by 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The inbuilt memory can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also is 4G compatible and supports dual Nano-sim cards.

In the camera department, the phone packs a f/2.2 13MP rear camera accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. Since Gionee is heavily focused on selfie cameras, the X1S packs a f/2.0 16MP front camera also with a LED flash. This inclusion will be very beneficial in taking those precious selfies even under low light situations. Software wise, the phone runs Amigo 4.0 UI based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone also has a rear mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into its back panel. Other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope and a digital compass. And finally powering this device all up is a large 4000mAh non-user removable battery. This coupled with the 720p display will be enough to get users through a full day of heavy usage without any problems.

The Gionee X1S is now available for you to buy from any Gionee outlets across the nation in Black, Gold, and Blue color. The offerings of the X1S are very good for a sub Rs 20,000 smartphone. That being said, a better processor and more internal storage would have been highly appreciated. Nonetheless, Gionee X1S is a smartphone you should definitely check out if you are in the market to buy one under Rs 20,000 in Nepal.
