Google launches the Google Pixel 2
Google in an event yesterday launched their latest flagship for the year, the Google Pixel 2. The phone offers some great hardware and runs the latest version of Android, Android 8.0 Oreo. Not only that but the phone offers a lot more features that makes the Pixel 2 worth buying. Here are all the things the phone brings to the table.
The Google Pixel 2 packs a 5.0 inch Full HD AMOLED display with a pixel density of 441PPI. The display is covered by Gorilla Glass 5 and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. The Pixel 2 comes encased in a metallic shell with a glass window near the rear camera. Under the hood, the phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with the Adreno 540 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. The phone sadly doesn’t have a memory card slot for further storage expansion. The phone, this time around, comes equipped with a front-facing stereo speaker set up but lacks the headphone port.
In the camera department, the Pixel 2 packs a f/1.8 12.3MP rear camera accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash and built-in OIS. The phone also has an 8MP front camera for all your high-res selfies. Software-wise, the phone runs the latest version of Android, Android 8.0 Oreo. And just sitting below the glass door is a rear mounted fingerprint. Other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, digital compass and a gyroscope. And finally, powering the device all up is a 2700mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users through a full day of moderate to heavy usage without any issue. And if the battery does run out there is the inclusion of fast battery charging and USB Type C. And all this goodness comes encased in an IP67 rated dust and water resistant body!
The Google Pixel 2 is one of the best smartphones money can buy right now. And speaking of money, the phone is priced at $649 which is a lot for a Google made smartphone but is a bit less than the competition. The phone without a doubt will make its way to Nepal in the days to come. If you are in search of the best flagship smartphone, you might very well buy this phone.
