Great Wall Motors Will Soon Launch Two Premium SUVs and a Pickup in Nepal

Great Wall Motors (GWM), the Chinese automobile manufacturer, has officially entered the Nepali market. According to the company, V.G. Impex Pvt. Ltd. has been assigned the official distributorship of GWM four-wheelers in Nepal, and they will soon launch a pickup (the Poer) and two premium SUVs–the Haval H6 (third generation) and the Haval Jolion. The company intends to host a virtual event to showcase its highly anticipated models in Nepal.

The third-gen Haval H6 will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol turbo engine. The engine is capable of generating a peak power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 320 Nm. The SUV’s exterior will have elements such as a panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, DRLs, etc. Similarly, the inside of the SUV boasts a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather steering wheel, wireless charging, dual-zone AC, C95 filter, paddle shift, and an eight-way electric adjustable driver seat including a two-way supporter. The safety features include, but are not limited to, six airbags, ABS with EBD, 360-degree view, and hill hold control.

The Haval H6’s price is expected to be between NPR 95-98 lakh

The Haval Jolion is a compact SUV powered by a 1.5-litre petrol turbo engine. It is powerful enough to produce a maximum power of 110 kW and maximum torque of 220 Nm. The SUV comes with LED headlamps and DRLs, and a panoramic sunroof is only offered with the top variants. Additionally, it offers the convenience of a six-way electric adjustable driver seat, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, intelligent key, and dual-zone AC. Some of the safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, and hill hold control.

The Haval Jolion’s price is expected to be between NPR 56-7 lakh

The Poer pickup comes with a robust 2.0-litre petrol turbo engine that will generate a peak power of 120 kW and a peak torque of 400 Nm. It will also be offered with a panoramic sunroof, front and rear fog lights, and DRLs. The pickup will feature a nine-inch infotainment system, leather steering wheel, steering wheel bottom-control, six-way adjustable driver seat, smart key, and manual and automatic AC. Safety is taken care of by six airbags, rear sensors, and hill descent control.  

The Poer’s price is expected to be between NPR 65-70 lakh

Great Wall Motors, located in Thapathali, has plans to expand its network to key towns across Nepal in order to provide a premium experience to its customers. The company, in the near future, also has plans to launch the Ora R1, a new-generation electric car, and the Wingler pickup in the Nepali market.
