Honda City e:HEV soon to be launched in Nepal; price starts from Rs 82 lakh
Syakar Trading Company, the sole authorised distributor of Honda cars and bikes in Nepal, is readying to launch its much-awaited sedan–the all-new City e:HEV. The new City e:HEV comes with a new design, upgraded features, and a hybrid powertrain: i-MMD (intelligent multi-mode drive). The company will offer the new sedan in two variants: the V and the ZX–at an introductory price of Rs 82 lakh and Rs 88 lakh, respectively.
Design
The 2023 City comes in a stylish and sporty design. The new notable exterior elements includes a front grille with diamond chequered flag pattern, front bumper with carbon wrapped lower moulding, fog lamps with sporty garnish, rear bumper with sporty carbon-wrapped diffuser, and 16-inch dual-tone diamond-cut multi-spoke alloy wheels. Furthermore, the car will be offered in six different colours: Blue, Red, White, Brown, Grey, and Silver. Inside, the sedan will get a black-and-ivory-themed cabin. The dashboard features a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, a seven-inch fully-digital instrument console, and an eight-inch infotainment system that is now compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, the City e:HEV models are also expected to feature a new carbon fibre pattern instrument panel, piano black finish on all AC Vents, and piano black garnish on the steering wheel.
Powertrain
The City e:HEV is powered by a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol hybrid engine–which is paired with two self-charging electric motors–that generates a combined power of 122 hp and a peak torque of 253 Nm. Furthermore, the sedan provides a mileage of 27.13 kmpl. The sedan also comes in three riding modes: EV Drive: motor uses battery for a silent and zero emission drive, Hybrid Drive: both traction and generator motor generates combined power, and Engine Drive: engine works highly fuel-efficient, along with providing enough power.

Features
The new City gets the Honda sensing safety feature that includes Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), adaptive cruise control with low speed follow (only in City e:HEV), road departure mitigation system, Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), lead car departure notification system (new), and auto high-beam. Other notable features include TPMS, 37 Honda Connect features, 6 airbags, hill start assist, immobiliser with anti-theft alarm, and leather-upholstered seats, among others.
