Honda Plans to Launch CB500X ADV in April 2021
Not long ago, Honda introduced H’ness CB350 and the cafe race model of it, CB350RS Scrambler is still managing to cover the highlights. Now the Japanese two-wheeler maker is up for introducing the CB500X Adventure Tourer in India.
Reported to be launched in April 2021, the new Honda CB500X ADV will be positioned between the KTM 390 Adventure and the Kawasaki Versys 650. The estimated price tag for the motorcycles is INR 6 Lakh and will apparently share its platform and engine with the CB500F and the CBR500R.
The new CB500X ADV from Honda will be powered by a 472 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor that churns out 48 hp and 43 Nm of torque with the engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with a slipper clutch.

The ADV motorcycle features an all-LED lighting system, large fairing, a fully digital instrument console with gearbox position and gear shift up indicator, dual-channel ABS, and long travel front suspension along with a telescopic front fork adjustable for preload and a 5-step preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Furthermore, the motorcycle has a seat height of 830mm, ground clearance of 180mm, and stands on 19-inch and 17-inch aluminum wheels wrapped with 110 and 160 section tires up front and rear respectively.
The company claims that the motorcycle can cover a range of 500 km with a full tank of fuel – holding a capacity of 17.7 liters. Braking duties will be handled by a 310 mm front disc with a two-piston caliper and a 240 mm rear unit with a single-piston caliper. A dual-channel ABS system comes as standard equipment.
It is will be available in three colors – Grand Prix Red, Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Pearl Metalloid White.
