‘Hulas Vidhyut’ To Be Released in Market: Made in Nepal
Hulas Motor’s aim to launch an EV ‘Hulas Vidhyut’ was unfortunately unsuccessful due to the pandemic. Planed to make the EV available for the customers in 2020, the company was not able to launch the car.
As per the company, they are unable to start the production of the EV even though all the essentials tasks for the preparation are being done.
‘We worked on Covid 19 before it could be tested locally. However, some of the parts that needed to be brought from China could not be brought. As the Covid 19 infection began to spread, everything came to a standstill,” said Prafulla Das, general manager of Hulas Motors.
“We are now preparing to move the work forward at a faster pace. We plan to start production from Fagun and start preparing to bring the necessary parts,” said Das.

He further added that the dream of owning an EV in Nepal will come true in 2020 and the company is planning to two variants at a low price and mid-range price.
The ‘Hulas Vidhyut’ will cover a distance of 170 km on a single full charge and achieve a top speed of 65 kilometers per hour. It will take 8 to 10 hours to fully charge the battery by connecting it to the normal plug of the house. The five-seater EV is given a ground clearance of 180 mm.
Other features will include power steering, power braking system, power window, and central locking system, a rearview camera, and a 7-inch infotainment system with the rear sensor. This car can easily climb up to 20 degrees.
