Hyundai launches the KONA’s new variant in Nepal

Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd, the authorised distributor of Hyundai vehicles for Nepal, has launched the Hyundai KONA’s new variant–the NS–in Nepal. The NS variant comes with similar design elements and features (except sunroof) as of the outgoing Kona’s GL model. The NS model is KONA’s most affordable variant that comes at a price of Rs 59.96 lakh.

The NS variant gets the same design as the facelifted KONA model. The EV comes with new design changes such as the front grille has been removed, new twin headlight setup with LED DRLs, redesigned tail lamps, and new17-inch alloy wheels, among others. Inside, the EV gets a 10.25-inch digital cluster, leather-upholstered seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls. For infotainment, the NS models come with a 8-inch screen that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The NS variants come equipped with notable features such as remote climate control, wireless-charging pad, Auto hold, electric parking brake, 6 airbags, reverse parking sensor, rear view camera, ABS with EBD, hill assist control, remote key, paddle shifters (regenerative braking control), and electric gear-shift button, among others.

The NS variant is powered by a 39.2kWh lithium-ion polymer battery. The battery is paired with a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) that generates max. power of 150 kW and max. torque of 395 Nm. The EV gets charged fully-charged in 8-10 hours via a normal power outlet and on a single charge, the NS models provide a range of 305 km. Furthermore the EV can speed up to 155 kmph.

The KONA’s NS model has been offered in five different colours: Atlas White, Cyber Gray, Galactic Gray, Pulse Red, Surfy Blue and Dark Knight–at a price of Rs 59.96 lakh.
