Hyundai Motors All Set for a New Model, Bayon

Hyundai Motors officially announced and is all prepared to launch a new model – Bayon(name inspired by the city of Bayonne in France) during the first half of 2021.  The new model Bayon, designed primarily for the European market is believed to be based on the Hyundai i series vehicles and rank below the Hyundai Kona in the European range of brands. Few hints regarding how the new compact SUV will look like can be observed through the preview of the Hyundai Bayonne.

As Bayon will be joining the Kona, Tucson, Nexo, and Santa Fe models, it is also announced that the new SUV will be the most affordable model among all the Hyundai SUVs available in the market currently.

“Hyundai is strongly established in the European SUV market already, in terms of our model range as well as our sales success,” said Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, Vice President of Marketing and Product. “By launching a new, additional B-segment model as the entry point into our SUV line-up, we see a great opportunity to cover European customers’ demand even better and to increase our offering in a highly popular segment.”

The shared picture of the new Bayon shows the boomerang-shaped LED tail light however, as per the leaks it is most likely to get LED headlights similar to the Hyundai Kona SUV. According to the leaks, it is also believed that the Bayon SUV may also get an instrument cluster, a touch screen infotainment system, and a four-spoke steering wheel. Five- and six-speed manual gearbox, as well as a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, is expected to be available.
