Hyundai teases a new upcoming updated Kona along with a powered-up N Line range-topper. The company has revealed its glimpse via an online portal. Hyundai Kona is the second best-selling model in its segment, but the 2021 Hyundai Kona is set to debut an important facelift that could improve its standing with buyers.
The images of the redesigned car give us a hint as to what the facelifted Kona will look like. According to Hyundai, it will get a “wider stance and a shark-inspired nose,” while we can also spot new, slimmer daytime running lights and three sporty looking slits beneath the bonnet on the newly confirmed N Line version of the crossover.
Hyundai says that the Kona N Line will receive a sportier look inspired by the company’s current line-up of N Line models. It gets larger air intakes and a more aggressive-looking front bumper. A black honeycomb-style grille with N Line badging rounds off the new look at the front.
We can see a new grille with a bold garnish that now extends up to sharp points beneath the high-mounted daytime running lights, and the lower bumper area and driving lights have also been redesigned. It’s a daytime running lamps/DRL give it a high-tech & distinct look. This sporty 2021 Kona N Line model will sit beneath the regular Kona models and the flagship Kona N. Looking at the difference between the normal and the N Line, the placement of the Hyundai badge is located at the top of the bumper, flanked by the headlights, on the standard Kona whereas the new version has the badge at the front- center on the grille. We can also see the new Kona N Line receiving a more aerodynamic design with low-set air intakes and a more aggressive front bumper, complemented by corner fins and lean crease lines.
The launching date for the new 2021 Kona and Kona N Line is still to be confirmed. More details regarding the design are to be disclosed in the following weeks. Stay tuned for more.
