iPhone 8 Plus: Price, Specs and Impressions

Apple recently launched the highly anticipated iPhone 8 Plus at an event in San Francisco. This phone marks the 10-year anniversary of the original iPhone. The iPhone 8 brings minor changes in terms of both hardware and software. The noticeable upgrade is the new processor and the capability to fast charge. That said, here are all the things you need to know about the phone.

The iPhone 8 Plus packs a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 401PPI. The display is protected by ion-strengthened glass and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. It also sits under a vibration motor giving it the 3D touch capabilities. Under the hood, the iPhone 8 Plus packs an Apple A11 Bionic chipset along with the tri-core Apple GPU. The phone also packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

In the camera side of things, the phone packs a rear dual camera set up just like the one found on its predecessor, the iPhone 7 Plus. It basically is a combination of two 12MP sensors with f/1.8 and f/2.8 aperture. The latter is a telephoto lens which gives it the ability to optically zoom 2X times. And speaking of optical, the main lens comes with built-in OIS for blur-free pictures. Software-wise, the iPhone packs the brand new, feature-packed IOS 11. The iPhone 8 also comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded into its home button. Other sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, and compass. The phone also retains its IP67 rating, giving it protection against dust and water. And finally powering this device all up is a 2675mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users a full day worth of battery life on a single charge. And if the battery does run out, for the first time in an iPhone, there is the inclusion of Fast charging. You can get up to 50% charge in just over 30 minutes!

The iPhone 8 Plus is a good phone but not a good upgrade. If you are currently using an iPhone 6s Plus or higher, then you probably don’t need to upgrade to this phone. The iPhone 8 Plus will soon launch in Nepal for an estimated price of around Rs 1,00,000. And when it launches we will make sure to keep you guys updated.
