Isuzu MU-X SUV Launched in Nepal
Isuzu has launched the MU-X SUV in Nepal at a price of Rs. 1.35 Crores. The distinctive exterior on the front and rear exudes more muscle in the new mu-X. The updated front fascia, inspired by an ‘Eagle’, brings out an aggressive and dominating stance of the SUV, while retaining the signature ISUZU grille design. It is further highlighted by new Bi-LED Auto-levelling projector headlamps with contemporary integrated light-guide and stylish Daylight Running Lamps (DRLs). The rear of the vehicle carries refreshed tail-lights with accentuated LED positon lights, 2-tone rear spoiler and shark-fin antenna with gun-metal finish, appealing to many new age buyers. The new 18-inch multi-spoke twist design diamond-cut alloy wheels makes the SUV more sporty, muscular and aspirational.
The drivetrain is powered by a 3.0 litre legendary ISUZU 4JJ1 Diesel Engine which delivers a maximum power output of 130 kW (177 PS). It provides a maximum torque of 380 Nm that is designed with a significant flat torque curve. The new mu-X will be available in both 4×2 and 4×4 variants with 5-speed sequential shift Automatic Transmission. The 4×4 variant sports a ‘shift-on-the-fly’ select dial for an excellent off-roading capability. The new mu-X has a higher ground clearance of 230 mm and class-leading approach and departure angles, ready to take on demanding terrains.
The plush interiors of the new mu-X provides more comfort for the occupants. The quilt-pattern leather seats, premium finish dashboard with soft-touch panels, bright silver-finish centre cluster & chrome-finish vent knobs add to the aesthetic appeal of the SUV. The SUV is now equipped with 6-Airbags (front, side and curtain) providing comprehensive safety for the occupants. ISUZU vehicles are renowned for their tough build and the mu-X stays true to this reputation with a high tensile steel body with tailor welded blanks and crumple zones with anti-intrusion bars. The mu-X is fully loaded with advanced active safety systems like ESC (Electronic Stability Control), TCS (Traction Control System), HDC (Hill Descent Control) and ABS (Antilock Braking System) with EBA (Emergency Brake Assist) and EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) along with a host of passive safety systems provide enhanced safety in case of unfavourable driving conditions. Its superior road view offers hassle-free driving experience.
