Jeep 7-Seater SUV Grand Compass to Get a Different Name
We all are familiar with the fact that Jeep has been involved in bringing the 7-seater SUV into the market. The upcoming Jeep 7-seater SUV was known to be called ‘Grand Compass’ which as per recent media reports claims to be changed. Yes, the 7-seater SUV will get a different name along with changes in the design. It is expected to launch during the second half of 2021.
Designed and developed on the FCA’s Small Wide 4×4 platform shared with its 5-seater siblings, the 7-seater SUV will get a more premium cabin compared to the Compass. It is claimed to be much longer in length to accommodate the third row of seats and larger doors compared to the Compass. The SUV will feature a plethora of high-end comfort, convenience, and safety cues such as ESP, panoramic sunroof, full LED auto headlamps, cruise control, traction control, vehicle stability, hill-launch and descent, and many more.
The powertrain of this 7-seater SUV includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine tuned to produce around 200bhp of power and over 400Nm of torque. For the transmission option, it will be mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission same as offered with the Compass.
