Jeep Meridian’s booking opened in Nepal; set to come at Rs 1.80 crore in Nepal
MAW life, the official dealer of the Jeep brand for Nepal, has opened booking for its three-row SUV–the Meridian–at five lakhs. The Meridian, which is based on the company’s Compass model, will come in only one variant–the Limited (O) trim. The company has offered the SUV at a special pre-launch price of Rs 1.80 crore and it is expected to be launched within a month.
Design

The Meridian is based on the same platform as the company’s Compass model, however, it is larger, comparatively. The Meridian measures 4769 mm in length, 1859 mm in width, and 1682 mm in height, which is 364 mm longer, 41 mm wider, and 48 mm taller than the Compass models. Furthermore, the SUV gets an extended wheelbase of 2974 mm (146 mm more). The SUV’s notable exterior features are its sleek LED projector headlights with DRLs, seven-slot grille, slim LED tail lights that are connected by a chrome bar,and dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels, among others. Furthermore, the SUV will be offered in five different colours: Brilliant black, Pearl white, Magnesio grey, Techno Metallic green, and Velvet red.

Inside, the SUV gets a three-row cabin layout with the seating capacity for seven people. The SUV comes with leather-upholstered seats with the Jeep logo embedded on them, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. And on top, the SUV comes with a dual-pane sunroof.

Powertrain
The Meridian will be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Multijet turbo-diesel engine that produces a peak power of 170 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. For transmission, the engine comes mated to a nine-speed torque converter automatic. Moreover, the SUV gets an all-wheel drive (AWD) system.

Features
The Meridian will come equipped with notable safety features such as electronic parking brake, all-speed traction control system, electronic stability control, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, 360-degree camera. Similarly for convenience, the SUV comes with Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, a steering wheel with mounted controls, dual zone automatic climate control, 360 degree camera, wireless charging, ORVMs, height adjustable driver’s seat, remote keyless entry, 60:40 split second row, 50:50 split third row, and 9 speakers, among others.
Jeep Meridian price in Nepal
Jeep Nepal has opened the booking for the Meridian at 5 lakh. Although the company hasn’t revealed its official pricing, the company has offered the SUV at a special pre-launch price of Rs 1.80 crore (only for the customer who books the car before its launch). The SUV will serve as a rival to the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq in the Nepalese market.
