Kia EV6 set to be unveiled at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2023
Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd, the authorised distributor of Kia vehicles in Nepal, is readying to unveil its much-awaited electric crossover—the all-new EV6—in the Nepalese market. The EV6 will be powered by a 77.4 kWh battery pack that will provide a maximum range of 528 km. The company has already commenced the bookings of the EV6, and the electric crossover is expected to come at an introductory price of Rs 1.25 crore.
Design

The EV6 is based on the company’s advanced Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The EV measures 4680 mm in length, 1890 mm in width, and 1545 mm in height; the electric crossover comes with a wheelbase of 2900 mm and a ground clearance of 154 mm. In terms of its design, the EV6 gets a sporty and muscular look. The front fascia features a new corporate grille called “Tiger Nose” and dual LED headlights along with DRLs. On the rear, the EV gets LED taillamps that are connected by a horizontal LED light.

Inside, the electric SUV comes with notable interior design elements such as leather-upholstered seats, a flat bottom steering wheel, and a pair of curved 12.3-inch displays: one with a digital instrument cluster and the other with easy to use widescreen infotainment system, among others.
Powertrain
The all-new EV6 will be powered by the 77.4 kWh battery pack–which is mated to a 168 kW electric motor–that is capable of generating a peak power of 225 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. For charging, the EV—built with an 800V charging architecture—can be charged from 0-80% in 18 minutes via a 100 kW fast charger, and via a 7 kW home charger, the vehicle gets charged from 0–100% in 7 hours and 20 minutes. And on a full charge, the EV provides a maximum range of up to 528 km. Furthermore, the EV6 will be offered in a four-wheel-drive configuration.

Features
The EV6 comes with an array of convenience and safety features. The EV6 is expected to come equipped with driver assist technology that comprises features such as forward collision-avoidance, forward collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, smart cruise control with stop and go, highway driving assist, intelligent speed limit assist, and safe exit warning, among others. Other notable safety features are its ABS, vehicle stability management, ESC, EBD, traction control system, hill start assist control, TPMS, and brake assist system. For convenience, the EV6 will get a steering wheel with mounted control, 6-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging ports, wireless phone charger, Drive Mode Select (DMS), dual-zone auto climate control with auto defog system, LED interior lights, smart power tailgate, heated and ventilated seats, and 60:40 split rear seats, among others.
