KTM unveils the 2024 Duke 390 globally
KTM, an Australian motorcycle manufacturer, has officially pulled the wraps on the 2024 Duke 390. Since its debut around a decade ago, the new Duke 390 will be in its third iteration and it will come with an all-new design, newly added features, and a new 399-cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine.
Design and features
The new Duke 390 will come with a new design as to the outgoing models.The new Duke 390 will have a new design compared to the outgoing models. The bike will feature new split headlamps with boomerang-shaped DRLS, and on the rear, it will get a T-shaped tail lamp. Furthermore, the third-generation Duke 390 will also get muscular tank shrouds and new split seats.
The bike will come equipped with a new five-inch TFT display that will offer Bluetooth connectivity, music control, incoming call alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. Furthermore, the instrument console will display information such as the speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip metres, clock, gear position indicator, fuel gauge, and riding modes, among others. Other notable features are LED units, launch control (new), and 17-inch alloy wheels, among others.
Powertrain
The new Duke 390 will be powered by the new 399-cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing a peak power of 43 hp and a peak torque of 39 Nm. For transmission, the engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox, along with a slipper clutch and quickshifter. Furthermore, the bike will also be offered in three riding modes: street, rumble, and track.

The new Duke 390’s suspension duties are handled by a 43 mm WP Apex fork with compression and rebound adjustability on the front and a monoshock with five-step rebound and preload adjustability on the rear. For braking, the bike will get a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, which is complemented by a dual-channel, cornering, and Supermoto ABS.
2024 KTM DUKE 390 price in Nepal
KTM has officially unveiled the new 2024 Duke 390 globally; however, the official announcement regarding its pricing is yet to be made. There is no news regarding its launch in Nepal any time soon, but the bike might be launched after its launch in the Indian market. The bike will serve as a rival to the Bajaj Dominar 400, the BMW G310 RR, and the Zontes 350R.
