Mahindra brings in next gen XUV

Mahindra is expected to launch its new generation mid size SUV the ” XUV 500″. It is based on monocoque chassis, which will be the first Mahindra vehicle to come up with a monocoque chassis feature. This chassis is shared with Ssang Yong. The XUV 500 is slightly larger model than in comparison to other models, this new model is also lighter and even more versatile and is also expected to undergo few other new updates.

Mahindra XUV 500 will give the same offer mHawk 2.2 litre and 4-cylinder engine. It is expected to have BS6 Complaint and a 6 speed manual. Moving on XUV 500 will have 2.0 litre diesel unit and will give up to 182 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque which is more than the current output and the new engine will comply with latest emission norms, and with the petrol variant it is 2.0 litre unit that returns 145 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque. The petrol engine will also deliver the same transmission choices as the diesel unit.

It includes both manual and automatic gearbox and will offer additional 4WD Setup. Along with that it applies inputs from Pininfarina and new SUV will look more sportier and stylish moreover looks elegant and design much cleaner than before. It is a 5 seater and has rooms for 7 passenger as before but more standard equipment.Further it has infotainment system looks alike to Tesla Latest Model Y, safety rating will be maximized, the seats and both dashboard, door trims are provided with a sporting soft touch.

Mahindra XUV 500 expected to launch it around 2020 as after its launch, it will face a competitive rivalry with Volkswagen T-Cross, Skoda Vision X based SUV, MG Hector and TATA Harrier and Jeep compass. We will soon get to see this XUV 500 in Nepal soon after its launch date is revealed.
