Mahindra Scorpio-N soon to be launched in Nepal

Agni Incorporated Pvt.Ltd, the authorised distributor of Mahindra vehicles in Nepal, is readying to launch the new SUV–the Scorpio-N–in the Nepalese market. The Scorpio-N is based on the company’s third-generation body-on-frame platform, and it comes with a new design, advanced tech-features, and new safety features.

Design

The new Scorpio-N has bigger dimensions than the outgoing models. The redesigned front fascia features a new grille, dual LED projector headlamps, and C-shaped fog lamps, and on the rear, the SUV comes with tall, stacked LED tail lamps.

Inside, the SUV gets a dual-tone (black and brown) interior with either a six- or seven-seating configuration. The dashboard features a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, a seven-inch TFT instrument console, and an eight-inch infotainment system. And on top of that, the car gets an electric sunroof.

Powertrain

The Scorpio-N’s powertrain specifications aren’t revealed yet. However, in the Indian market, the SUV comes with two engine options: a 2.0-liter mStallion turbo-petrol and a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel.

The 2.0L mStallion turbocharged petrol engine generates a peak power of 202 hp and a peak torque of 370–380 Nm, and the diesel engine generates a power of 131–174 hp and a torque of 400 Nm. Both engines come mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

Features

The Scorpio-N gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system–powered by the company’s ArdenoX suite–that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, the ArdenoX system also offers about 70+ car-connectivity features that can be monitored via a smartphone and smartwatch. 

The SUV comes with notable convenience features such as its electric sunroof, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, engine start/stop button, dual-zone AC, electric steering wheel with mounted control buttons, power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, wireless charging, cruise control, and rear and front camera, depending on the variants.

For safety, the SUV gets up to seven airbags and comes with other features such as ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control system, hill-hold/descent control, rear and front parking sensors, and ISOFIX, depending on the variants

Mahindra Scorpio-N price in Nepal

There is no official news regarding the Scorpio-N’s pricing yet; however, it comes at a base price of INR 12.14 lakh in India, so the fans can expect it to come around Rs 45 lakh here.
