Mahindra XUV 300 upgrading to BS-VI from BS-IV emission norms

Mahindra launches its BS-6 complaint XUV 300 in India, as all the 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers are adapting BS-6 emission norms Mahindra XUV300 has become the first Mahindra model to receive the BS-6 upgrade. Where as its petrol engine variant has been upgraded to the upcoming emission norms and priced of these XUV 300 variants has changed and increased.

Where the current BS-4 compliant of 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 110.1 PS of power @ 5,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 2,000 -3,500 rpm. 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit producing power of 116.6 PS @ 3,750 rpm and 300 Nm of torque @ 1,500 – 2,500 rpm with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automated manual transmission on both petrol and diesel engine. It is also expected that the engine will also get the BS-6 upgrade as well but in near future.
The BS-6 Mahindra XUV300 petrol’s prices range from INRs 8.3 – 11.84 lakhs and BS-4 Mahindra XUV300 petrol was priced from INRs 8.1 – 11.64 lakhs (Indian). As all the vehicles are adapting to BS6 emission norms we can expect that these BS6 complaint vehicles will surely hit the Nepalese market real soon.
